Abstract
This project introduces a job portal using Spring Boot and React, designed to transform the hiring experience for job seekers and employers alike. The web-based platform provides essential recruitment features such as user registration, job posting, resume uploads, and application tracking. Its goal is to offer a seamless, intuitive interface that enhances hiring workflows and job searches.online job portal
Online job portals have drastically changed how recruitment functions in today’s digital world. Traditional methods like newspaper ads have become outdated due to the speed, accessibility, and convenience that online platforms provide. This project explores the evolution of digital recruitment, analyzing how online portals benefit job seekers and employers while identifying current limitations and future opportunities.
The portal allows job seekers to register, build profiles, upload resumes, apply for jobs, and receive personalized job recommendations. On the other hand, employers can post jobs, view applications, assess profiles, and communicate directly with candidates. Additional features include skill assessments, interview scheduling, filtering tools, and real-time application tracking.
The system’s backend is powered by Spring Boot, ensuring security, scalability, and API-based data handling. The frontend, built with React, provides an interactive user interface with dynamic content rendering. Together, they offer a robust and responsive recruitment solution.
By bridging the gap between talent and opportunity, the job portal using Spring Boot and React modernizes the recruitment process. It reduces hiring time, improves employer reach, and provides job seekers with access to diverse roles in real time. With its cost-effective, scalable infrastructure, the platform is suitable for startups, enterprises, and academic institutions alike.
Introduction
A job portal is an online platform that connects job seekers with employers. It simplifies recruitment by bringing both parties together in a centralized digital space. Before the internet, companies relied on newspaper advertisements for hiring. Today, job portals have replaced those methods with fast, interactive, and data-driven systems.
Popular portals like Naukri, Indeed, and Glassdoor offer thousands of job listings across various industries. Many organizations also host their own internal portals. These allow applicants to find opportunities and apply online within minutes. Job portals serve as both job boards and career guidance tools. Most include application links, company details, and direct contact options.
Candidates can build profiles, upload resumes, and set preferences for job alerts. Employers can view these profiles, post job openings, and reach out directly. This two-way interaction shortens hiring cycles and improves match quality.
This project focuses on building a job portal using Spring Boot and React. It offers key features such as job listings, resume submission, application tracking, and communication tools. The system uses modern web technologies to ensure a responsive, scalable, and user-friendly platform. It aims to replace outdated recruitment models and make job searching efficient and accessible for everyone.
